Why the shark   I am often asked why I made the shark to the emblem of my school. It was because of the sharks that I saw while scuba-diving in the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean. Their powerful, relaxed and elegant way of swimming, their highly developed senses, their swift manoeuvres, and the way they idled on the sea-bed and suddenly darted off, all this left a permanent impression... and the thrill, as they glided past me. The name Shayuquan hints therefore at a free and powerful flow of movement.
