Ömer Humbaraci   British citizen of Turkish origin, born 1945 in Istanbul, atheist and free thinker. Architect, designer, journalist, SCUBA-Diver, photographer and researcher. 1978 pioneer of Taijiquan in northern Germany. Founder in 1993 of the European Institute for T'ai Chi Studies e.V., where he continuously develops the Shayuquan style. Practiced Oriental and Occidental martial arts for over 50 years, especially Wado-Ryu Karate, Taijiquan, "Internal Boxing", and free fencing (sword and stick). Studied alternative healing methods and developed new ones, based on the use of breathing and gravitation.
